Family songs

If you're family you know what this page is all about. If you stumbled upon it some other way

you may not get the inside jokes, but welcome to another side of Toast.

A musical toast to newlyweds Allie & Greg on July 31, 2023!

A tribute to my niece Sasha Gilbert on her Bat Mitzvah June 18, 2022. Lots of love and nachas!

An homage to the Heffer on his 50th birthday, featuring Eggo B., MD on guitar. Heffer didn't want a song, he wanted art for the new house. This is what he got.

Our big tribute to my nephew Ben Seymann for his big day! Nope, he definitely didn't ask for this.

After making a last minute video for E$'s actual birthday, we had to step it up a bit for his Bar Mitzvah!

A tribute to cousin Alison Rosenstock for getting her Masters Degree in Nutritional Science from SDSU!

A special song for my sister-in-law Karly just to remind her how much we love her every day.

This is a song I wrote for my stepson, Spencer, in January 2015 but recorded this version in 2018. And left it "naked" at Nushka's behest.

For Eggo's 50th bday I gave him homework. Wrote this song for him but it needed guitar parts. His assignment was to add them before my 50th birthday. As you'll see in the version called "Eggo's 50 w Guitar," he prevailed.

This is Eggo's 50th bday song w his guitar tracks added in. The man does his homework.

A family tribute to the Golden Boy-turned-patriarch -- 70 things about Dad for his 70th birthday.

There is a legendary basement tape of Jeff singing the Rolling Stones' song by this same name acapella. We used that as the foundation for this parody for his 40th birthday.

We took Heffer's birthday parody "Can't Always Get What You Want" another step further with this hip hop remix because...why not?

Eggo wrote a great original song called "Tuba City Tonight" many years ago after doing a remote residency stint in Tuba City, AZ. I liked it so much I had to honor it the only way I know how... by parodying it for his 40th birthday.

This is my version of "Tuba City Tonight," an original song written by Greg, which I recorded as a surprise birthday gift for him . . . before turning it into "Eggo's Birthday Tonight" the following year.

A little song we recorded for (and performed live at) Jeff & Karly's wedding, just in case Karly needed a little more insider info.

Going back to about 1989 - wrote this for Eggo to celebrate him getting into UCLA Medical school. Recorded it on a 4-track in the closet of my college dorm room, with a little help from my friends, including a "solo" by Sean P. Barrows. (Warning: contains some profanity, and "insensitive" lyrics due to me being young and, well, insensitive at the time.)

This was my "Congratulations, I'm Sorry" tribute to the Heffer for getting into USC, spending one glorious semester there, and then deciding to transfer. It features special guest appearances by my then roommates Joe Pezzimenti, Phong Hung Vo, and Sean P. Barrows. (This one also contains some "insensitive" lyrics due to me being young and insensitive at the time.)

This was an unsolicited follow up to Egger Roll, recorded in 1993 after I moved from CA back to AZ.

This one is courtesy of Greg, which he wrote and recorded to lament, I mean "celebrate" my decision to pursue a career in the law. Equally masterful and acerbic, it is a Seymann family classic.
